Volunteers Wanted for Brain Study (MRI)
We are looking for healthy volunteers to improve our understanding of brain structure and brain function. In particular, we will use a type of MRI called magnetic resonance spectroscopy that we will use to examine how chemicals in your brain change while you are performing a joystick-based computer task.
MRI is a type of brain scan that allows us to see how the brain is organised, processes information and performs skills like speech or memory. This scan is safe and does not involve any needles or injections.
We need volunteers who are:
This study involves two visits to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Each session will take around two hours of your time. You would be asked to lie still in a scanner and either rest or perform a computer task with a joystick.
You will be reimbursed for your time and travel.

We need volunteers who are:
- Aged 18-35
- Right-handed
- In good health and not pregnant
- Without metal in their head or body (except fillings)
- metallic implants (e.g. pacemaker)
- and have not had surgery in the past 3 months
